Creekbend Ranch is working cattle ranch and a one-of-a-kind, authentic country experience, complete with roaming cattle on 100 acres of lush green pastures.
The Thorsell family has lived in Medina County for 50 years, raising quarter horses and cattle. We purchased Creekbend Ranch in 1995. Our son, Shawn and daughter, Charis are both now a part of the business.
The Vintage Barn at Creekbend Ranch, was actually used for storage for many years until we decided to renovate it. Because of the beauty and history of the barn, we wanted to open it up as a venue to be shared.
The Vintage Barn was built in 1870 by Hiram Fuller, a skilled cabinet maker, which shows in the details and structure of the old barn. As a bank barn, it was designed so that a horse and wagon could access the upper floor.
The antique vintage patina of the Vintage Barn, along with the old slate roof and rustic hand-hewn beams reminds us of a simple, slower time in history and lends itself to a picturesque backdrop for your perfect wedding.
